Cynthia Ann Crawford (born February 20th the 20th of February, 1966) is an American model actor, actress, and TV host. In the 1980s and 1990s she was a popular supermodel who was prominent on runways and magazines, as well as in fashion-related campaigns. Later on she expanded her acting abilities and entered into business. In her sophomore year of high school, she got an email from a local clothing store concerning modeling but was later informed that it was a trick played by two of her classmates. However, the following year, another store employed a group of high school girls including Crawford as a model, to perform their duties (including a fashion shoot). In her senior year local photographer Roger Legel, whose duties included capturing a different college girl to be that week's coed in DeKalb Nite Weekly, asked to photograph her for the publication. The result was her first ever cover. Crawford was inspired to try modeling after the positive feedback and photo she received. In the beginning, she was working for a tiny agency. Elite Model Management sold her to the agency shortly after she signed. At the age of 17, she participated in Elite's Look of the Year contest and made it to the finals at national level.
